Booked your Tent City Pass?

Main Points to Know:

  • Access to the Tent City campsite is from 11:30am the day of the event.

  • You will NOT be allowed to drive OUT again as the road will be closed for event patrons coming into the Festival.

  • Tent City is a dry zone and random car searches will occur at entry.

  • Campsites are a space of 4x4m per site, this is in a first in best dressed basis. Please be courteous of others.

  • You will need to show your Tent City ticket at the entrance of Tent City. This can be redeemed for a wristband in order to gain entry. These are non-transferable.

  • You will NOT have access to go in and out of Tent City as there is a no pass out policy for safety and security reasons.

Can you camp onsite? +

You sure can! For $15pp you and your squad can pitch your own tent in Tent City or live it up for the night and stay in one of our Glamping Belle Tents. Learn more here.

I have my 'Tent City Pass' to camp the night. What do I need to know? +

Access to the Tent City campsite opens on the morning of Handpicked Festival at 11:30am. You will NOT be allowed to drive OUT again as the road will be closed for event patrons coming into the Festival.

You will have 4x4m of space per site, this is in a first in best dressed basis. Please be courteous of others.

Note: You will need to show your Tent City ticket at the entrance of Tent City. This can later be redeemed at the Handpicked Entrance Gate for a wristband in order to gain entry and re-entry into Tent City. These wristbands are non-transferable. Tent City is a dry zone & does not allow pass-outs within the first 5 hours of gates opening.

Will their be car searches at the entrance to Tent City? +

All cars will be subject to a random safety and security check at the entrance of Tent City. Any prohibited items will be confiscated including alcohol. See the full list of Tent City FAQs and prohibited items here

What time can I access my campsite & start setting up? +

Access to the Tent City campsite opens on the morning of Handpicked Festival at 11:30am. You will NOT be allowed to drive OUT again as the road will be closed for event patrons coming into the Festival.

Tent City will close at 5:00pm and be reopened after the last act has finished on stage at approximately 10:30pm.

How much are Tent City Passes? +

Camping charges are $15.00 per person – each person camping will need their own Tent City ticket. Therefore, you will need BOTH a Tent City and a Festival Pass ticket to gain entry into Handpicked Festival.

How big is my campsite? +

Each campsite is approximately 4x4m.

We do not sell campsites as the campgrounds are not divided into individual sites. When you & your group arrive, you will be allocated enough space for your tent/s (approximately a 4m x 4m site). Overly elaborate campsites are discouraged, Please do not go over the top with your camping setup.

What time do we need to pack up and leave the next day? +

You must DEPART from Tent City by 11:30am on SUNDAY 11 NOVEMBER. Your belongings and campsite must be packed up and clear by this time.

There will be police and random breath testing outside of Lake Breeze Wines, so please see campsite security and staff if you do not believe you are safe to drive home by 11.30am. We want everybody to be safe and will be lenient of the departure time if necessary.

How do I get in and out of Tent City? +

You must show your camping ticket when first entering Tent City, from here you will be given a wrist band that needs to be shown to re-enter the campsite when the Festival finishes at approximately 10:30pm.

You will not have access to go in and out of Tent City as there is a ‘no pass-out’ policy at Handpicked for security and safety reasons.

Is there security on site? +

Yes Tent City will have 24-hour security on hand to ensure the safety and amenity of all campers.

Our security personnel also have the right to search bags and vehicles for any prohibited items such as glass, alcohol, weapons, illegal substances, cooking equipment etc brought within the campground. All queries and concerns onsite should be directed to security personnel.

Any unruly behaviour WILL NOT be tolerated and may result in your removal from the site.

Should I leave valuables in my tent? +

No. Despite 24hour security, we do not recommend leaving valuables in your tent and cannot be responsible for any stolen or missing items. Our security personnel are on site to ensure the safety and amenity of all campers first and foremost.

What items are prohibited from Tent City? +

Alcohol, glass (including wine glasses) illegal substances and gas equipment will NOT BE ALLOWED on site.

If you light a fire onsite, you will be removed from the site and may be the subject of police action.

We do not allow drugs within Handpicked Festival or within Tent City. If you are found with the possession of any form of dangerous and illicit substance, you will be evicted from the site and face criminal charges.

Please note that Tent City is an ALCOHOL FREE ZONE and is unlicensed. You are therefore NOT ALLOWED to bring OR consume any alcohol within the Tent City campground. You can only consume alcohol at Lake Breeze Wines, within the Handpicked Festival site. Bags & cars will be checked on arrival.

Are there toilets on site? +

Toilets will be available for campers in Tent City. Please be kind and respectful to the environment and other campers when using our facilities.

Will there be midnight snacks available? +

Food and water will be available to purchase all night, and the following morning. You are not allowed to cook in any form on the Festival & Tent City site.

Will there be waste removal and bins in Tent City? +

No, Tent City is located on the Lake Breeze Wines property and therefore please make sure you are respectful of the beautiful surroundings and remove any litter from your site on departure.

Can I bring my boombox? +

No sorry. Please ensure you are respectable of others when returning back to the campsite. We do have the right to evict any persons being disruptive, playing loud music, talking, or partying after 12:00am.

What if I lose my ticket? +

Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Please contact Moshtix for any ticketing issues/queries on 1300 GET TIX (438 849)

Are there any powered sites? +

No, there are no powered sites available and you are not allowed to bring your own generator due to noise curfews.

Can I park my car next to my campsite? +

Cars, campervans or any other vehicles will NOT be allowed in Tent City. Your vehicles MUST be parked in the Festival Car Park for safety reasons. Therefore, you will be required to carry your belongings from your car to your campsite.

Can I reserve my campsite? +

We cannot reserve sites, sites are allocated on the day on a first in, best dress basis. Therefore if you’re in a group, we recommend arriving at the same time so you can pitch your tents together.

Can I camp next to my friends? +

If you wish to camp next to your friends, you MUST ARRIVE AT THE SAME TIME, so please plan to arrive as a group if you’re keen to camp together. You cannot reserve campsites.

Can I bring my dog/pet to Tent City? +

Animals are NOT permitted on the camping grounds or within the festival site.

I am under `18 years old, can I still camp? +

If your group contains anyone under the age of 18 years old, there MUST be at least one parent or responsible adult guardian. While technically an adult is anyone aged over 18 years old, it is not our preference that an 18-year-old should be responsible for minors. Anyone considering nominating themselves as the responsible adult in their group should consider this responsibility very carefully.
